Life Lesson #4 - Driving Tips

This group of tips about life is about driving. Things to do, things not to do, etc.  A lot of these are common sense, but people don't seem to follow them.

But remember that these tips don't apply to all people.  Some people might not need to use certain substances while driving, but others do.
So without any further wastes of time...
Things to do:

  • Keep your eyes open at all times, don't even blink - you could get in a wreck during that millisecond of distraction.
  • If you have issues with anxiety and feeling the need to run red lights, drink alcohol.  It has been shown to alleviate these feelings.  If you don't have this issue though, don't drink and drive.  It might actually create the problem.  Marijuana works too.
  • Eat food.  Whenever you feel the need to eat, do it.  Don't let driving or other time-consuming tasks get in the way of this natural process.  And it makes you happy too.
  • Text and drive.  Pretty much the same as eating.  Don't let driving inhibit you being in contact with the rest of the world.
  • Drive as fast as you can.  There are statistics as to a certain amount of drivers get in crashes; the faster you're off the road, the faster you're less likely to be a member those statistics.
Things not to do:
  • Breath.  Hold your breath when the car is moving.  It's one of the ultimate distractions to drivers. 100% of drivers who get in accidents were breathing while they were driving.
  • Look at porn.  This doesn't apply to all people, but if your hands are off the wheel and you don't have experience driving with your knees, then don't do it.
  • Try to do a u-turn when there's a car right behind you.  I've almost been t-boned every time this advice was not followed.
  • Don't try to get womens numbers, when they are in cars going the other way.  Never ends well.
Hopefully this advice will help a person on two out there.
